A worked example · seeded demo workspace

One shoot, end to end, nothing skipped.

This walkthrough uses Meridian — Autumn Blend Launch, the demo shoot seeded in our test workspace: a coffee brand's autumn campaign with 19 shots, 4 cast and a shoot week. It is not a customer and we don't pretend otherwise. It is the honest way to show the whole route without publishing anyone's client work.

    The brief lands

A coffee brand wants an autumn launch: films for social, stills for in-store, a launch window, a budget ceiling. In the demo workspace that brief sits in the agency's Briefs desk with its signals lifted into fields: channels, launch date, tone. One button stages the shoot from it.

    Casting fills

Four roles run longlist to booked on the casting board. Booking a role raises the release paperwork and its chase task by itself: the compliance tail is part of the same motion, not a separate list someone has to remember.

    The shoot week

Nineteen shots across a shoot week at two locations, scheduled against a content calendar that already knows which post each shot feeds. The whole-day call sheet carries general call 08:30, wrap 18:00, live weather for Kerb & Bean Café and the run of show.

    Shoot day, one thumb

On the day, Capture Mode runs from a phone: SH-005 goes live at 11:00, gets captured, the office board ticks 4 of 19. Status stops being a radio call and becomes a fact everyone can see.

    Cuts and approval

The edit lands as cut versions against each deliverable's spec: one in review, one approved in the demo data. The client approves in their portal, on the record, with the launch film held behind an embargo codeword until the date.

    The money closes

The budget on this demo shoot estimates £11,428.26 against a £12,000 client-approved total, built from the same lines the quote came from. When the invoice goes out it bills the logged days and hours, and the margin has been visible since the estimate.
